Anderson to Present at ISHRM Webinar

Illinois Society of Healthcare Risk Management (ISHRM) welcomes Heyl Royster's Healthcare Practice Group Chair, Katie Anderson, to discuss the "Release of Medical Record Information" at its upcoming webinar sponsored by the Illinois Health and Hospital Association on November 2, 2023. The webinar, intended for healthcare providers, nurses, risk managers, and attorneys, will address privacy concerns, laws, and considerations regarding the release of medical records, including a review of HIPAA and the Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Confidentiality Act. Participants will gain an understanding of what information is required for a provider to release personal health information after receiving a request and discuss unique circumstances related to the release of such information.
