Cloud Shares Knowledge at Property and Liability Resource Bureau (PLRB) Claims Conference

Patrick Cloud, a shareholder in the firm’s Edwardsville office and head of its Insurance Services Practice Group, speaks at the Property and Liability Resource Bureau (PLRB) 2023 Claims Conference & Insurance Services Expo. This 3-day Orlando World Center Marriot conference, scheduled for March 19-22, 2023, features over 100 educational sessions in 14 tracks taught by industry leaders. At the Conference, Patrick speaks on an important emerging issue for the insurance industry in recent years. In his talk, Patrick will examine coverage issues associated with accidents involving motorized vehicles other than traditional automobiles, such as ATVs, UTVs, golf carts, go-carts, and electric bicycles. His presentation will evaluate whether these claims were covered on a third-party or first-party basis under personal and commercial auto policies, homeowner’s policies, and commercial general liability policies.

Patrick Cloud represents insurance carriers throughout Missouri and Illinois, prosecutes actions for declaratory judgment, and defends breach of contract matters, bad faith cases, and proceedings ancillary to coverage issues, such as interpleader actions. He also regularly advises insurance clients on potential obligations under all types of insurance policies. Patrick has written extensively on insurance coverage matters, including co-authoring a chapter in the Commercial and Professional Liability Insurance Practice Handbook, published by the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education.
